Master Class Program Overview

In-studio Master Classes offer students a valuable chance to perform and learn within a welcoming environment that celebrates their growth and accomplishments. This year’s schedule features two extended Term-end classes, which may include returning students and special guests. Participants are encouraged to present mini-recitals, perform duets, explore collaborative genres, and share their own original compositions.
Our classes incorporate a variety of musical activities and theoretical games designed to develop skills such as technical facility, aural awareness, composition, critical listening, recital critiques, effective practice habits, and preparation for exams, recitals, and festivals. Additional opportunities include sight-reading, duets, and accompaniment.
Students planning to participate in recitals, festivals, or exams are required to attend master classes beforehand. This essential rehearsal experience helps performers manage nerves and build confidence in their performance skills.
Student Teachers are frequently invited to assist, making the learning process more enjoyable for everyone—after all, it’s always more fun to learn with “piano friends.” Former students are also warmly invited to attend.

Master Class Policy:

Registration must be confirmed at least one week before the Master Class, along with a $15 non-refundable fee.

·        Students registered for an upcoming recital are expected to attend the preceding Master Class.

·        A minimum of five students is required for the class to proceed. In the case of a canceled class, the registration fee would be carried over to the next class.
